Aluminium-Kupfer-Zinn-Legierung.

Aluminum-copper-tin alloy.
The subject of the invention is an aluminum-copper-tin alloy which has valuable properties compared to the known alloys of this type.
The previously known aluminum-copper-tin alloys provide castings which are not sufficiently homogeneous and therefore have to be compacted by pressing before being machined on the lathe or the like. Furthermore, when machining such castings on the lathe or the like, a large supply of lubricant is required. As a result, the production of articles of daily use which consist of one of the previously known aluminum-copper-tin alloys is made considerably more difficult and expensive. This is particularly the case in the manufacture of projectile fuse parts.
If you use namely when machining these parts on the lathe or the like. The common lubricants, z. B. oil, the production is made even more difficult and expensive that then a thorough cleaning of the finished piece! ' is required because such lubricants cause decomposition of the z. B. would bring about powder mass coming to use in the sentences of the burner igniter. The alkalis to be used to clean the parts also attack the metal.
On the other hand, articles of daily use which, according to the invention, consist of an alloy of approximately 87% aluminum, 8% copper and 5% tin, can be used substantially
EMI1.1
Tin fluctuate between 4-5 and 5 # 5%. In any case, however, the copper content must exceed the tin content.
