Die Erfindung betrifft ein mobiles Endgerät und ein Verfahren zum Erhalt von Online-Information über Orte und Regionen.
Viele Unternehmen und Veranstalter, aber auch immer mehr öffentliche Institutionen nutzen die Möglichkeit ihr Angebot in Form von Informationsseiten ins Internet zu stellen. Für den Benutzer ergibt sich jedoch aufgrund der Vielfalt an verschiedenen Angeboten und Adressen kein klares Bild. Insbesondere wenn der Benutzer Informationen über einen Ort oder eine Region wünscht, die ihm nicht bekannt ist, bietet die bisherige Form der zur verfügung stehenden Information keine Hilfe.
Andererseits sind insbesondere für Ortsfremde als Druckwerke Reiseführer bekannt, die ausgewählte Informationen enthalten. Allerdings dürfen diese, da sie handlich sein sollen, eine gewisse Grösse und Seitenanzahl nicht überschreiten. Daher sind sie entweder sehr oberflächlich und bieten nicht ausreichen Information oder sie sind auf ein bestimmtes Gebiet, wie z. B. Gastronomie oder Kunst, spezialisiert. Ferner haben sie den Nachteil, dass sie meist kurze Zeit nach ihrem Erscheinen schon nicht mehr aktuell sind bzw. dass sie keine aktuellen Informationen, wie z. B.
Veranstaltungskalender enthalten.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es den Erhalt von

Informationen über Orte und Regionen zu verbessern und zu vereinfachen.
Elektronische Speichermittel erlauben es ausführliche Informationen über einen Ort oder eine Region unterteilt in zahlreiche Bereiche oder Kategorien in handlicher Form zur Verfügung zustellen, wobei eine qualitative Auswahl und eine redaktionell Bearbeitung eine solche Datenbank auch für Ortsfremde gut nutzbar machen. Mit solchen Datenbanken soll der Benutzer das Beste aus den verschiedensten Informationsbereichen abrufen können. Eine solche

B. unter der Kategorie "Shopping" in alphabetischer Reihenfolge alles von "Antiquariat"bis"Zirkusbedarf"finden. Verschiedenste Such- und Auswahlkriterien erleichtern die Handhabung.
Besteht die Möglichkeit auf diese Datenbank online zuzugreifen können Informationen angeboten und abgerufen werden, die just-in-time aktualisiert werden. Der Benutzer kann sicher sein, dass alle Informationen, wie z. B. Öff- nungszeiten, aktuell sind. Ferner können Informationen aufgenommen werden die nur bei Tagesaktualität sinnvoll sind, wie Veranstaltungsprogramme, aber auch z. B. die Tagesspeisekarte von Restaurants.
Um die zuvor genannte Aufgabe zu erfüllen wird ein mobiles Endgerät zum Erhalt von Online-Information über Orte und Regionen mit einem Navigationsystem ausgestattet, das durch Bestimmung der geographischen Position des Benutzers und Auswertung der mit jeder Information gekoppelten geographischen Koordinaten Informationen über den Weg-

bzw. Routenverlauf gibt.
Beim erfindungsgemässen Verfahren zum Erhalt von OnlineInformationen über Orte und Regionen, wird über ein mobiles Endgerät eine Datenbank und eine der darin enthaltene Kategorien und gegebenfalls eine Unterkategorie angesprochen, die qualitativ ausgewählte Informationen enthält, es wird die geographische Position des Benutzers des Endgerätes festgestellt und aus den dadurch erhaltenen Daten gemeinsam mit den zu jeder Information abgespeicherten Daten ein Weg errechnet, der in Form von Anweisungen und/oder einem entsprechend markierten Plan am Display des Endgerätes ausgegeben wird.

Über das Navigationssystem wird automatisch die Position der Person ermittelt und es wird eine Suche nach Sushirestaurants innerhalb einer bestimmten Entfernung von der ermittelten Position in der Datenbank gesucht. angezeigt, kann die Person aufgrund zusätzlicher Informationen über das Restaurant (z. B. Qualitäts-oder Preiskategorie, oder Beschreibung des Interieurs) seine Auswahl treffen. Dann erscheint am Display ein Plan oder eine schriftliche Anweisung, die die Person zu dem Restaurant führt, und zwar zu Fuss oder mit privaten oder öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.
