Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

<Desc / Clms Page number 1>
The invention relates to a hammer for aligning and layering, cold drawing and warm drawing of sheet metal, in particular body sheet, with a striking surface provided with a bastard file cross cut, the striking surface being concavely curved in the longitudinal direction. With such hammers it is known to roughen the face and with teeth, tips or
File cut to be provided.
All of the striking surfaces listed here do not adhere well to the sheet. As a result, the hammer bounces off the striking surfaces listed, the impact force is not fully used. This has the greatest impact on warm drawing, because when warm drawing in, it is necessary for the heated point on the sheet to be drawn in as quickly as possible with the hammer so that the hammer's full force can work. The above-mentioned striking surfaces of a hammer also have an unfavorable effect when pulling in cold, aligning, finishing and clamping sheet metal. To avoid this disadvantage, it is proposed according to the invention that the teeth of the bastard file cross cut are directed towards the hammer handle.
This ensures good adhesion and prevents the hammer from bouncing off. The hammer's impact is fully effective, and the performance in cold-warm drawing, aligning, finishing, and clamping is increased.

the face with the bastard crosscut. Fig. 4 shows the side view of the lower part of the hammer with the teeth of the bastard file cross cut, which are directed towards the hammer handle. The shape of the face can be rectangular, rounded, oval or circular, depending on the intended use.
