Abstract

Furniture (1) comprising at least two furniture modules (2) that can be detachably connected to one another, the at least two furniture modules (2) each comprising a frame (3), the frame (3) spanning an interior space (4), wherein in at least one at least one furniture fitting (5) for the movable mounting of a furniture component (42) relative to the frame (3) is fastened or can be fastened to the frame (3), the interior space (4) spanned by a frame (3), preferably wherein the at least one piece of furniture (1) an intermediate module (6), particularly preferably wherein the at least one intermediate module (6) comprises a frame of the same type as the at least two furniture modules (2).

Description

Description

The invention relates to a piece of furniture comprising at least two furniture modules that can be releasably connected to one another, the at least two furniture modules each comprising a frame, the frame spanning an interior space. The invention also relates to a method for producing a piece of furniture.

Furniture modules that can be releasably connected to one another are already known from the prior art. The size and shape of the furniture can be flexibly selected depending on the arrangement and number of furniture modules and, if necessary, an existing piece of furniture can be expanded or reduced. A disadvantage of the existing prior art is that moveable furniture components are mounted directly on the frame or on the side walls of the furniture module.

The object of the present invention is to solve the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, a piece of furniture is to be created comprising furniture modules that can be releasably connected to one another, which allows for low-friction, low-wear and low-noise storage of movable furniture components. In addition, a method for producing a piece of furniture with the stated advantages is to be created.

The disadvantages of the prior art are solved by the subject matter of claims 1 and 15.

According to the invention it is provided that in at least one spanned by a frame interior at least one furniture fitting for the movable mounting of a furniture component is fixed relative to the frame on the frame or can be fastened.

In the method according to the invention for the production of a piece of furniture, at least one furniture fitting is fastened in each case spanned by a frame interior. In addition, the at least two furniture modules are arranged next to one another. The at least two furniture modules are also detachably connected to one another.

The furniture fitting, for example a guide for a drawer or a hinge for a furniture door, enables a low-friction, low-wear and low-noise storage of movable furniture components.

It can preferably be provided that the at least one piece of furniture comprises an intermediate module, particularly preferably wherein the at least one intermediate module comprises a similar frame as the at least two furniture modules. No furniture fitting has to be fastenable or fastened to the at least one intermediate module.

The interior spanned by an intermediate module and at least one furniture module can represent a single storage space. For example, the common interior can only be completed by a furniture door, with the furniture fitting being arranged only on the furniture module and not on the intermediate module.

In a preferred embodiment, at least two furniture modules of the at least two furniture modules can be arranged one on top of the other and/or at least two of the at least two furniture modules can be arranged side by side. The at least two furniture modules are particularly preferably arranged directly next to one another.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, all furniture modules and optionally intermediate modules have the same external dimensions and / or are essentially cuboid. It is then very easy to put together a cuboid piece of furniture.

It can be provided that the at least one furniture module is suitable to be used as furniture without another furniture module. The frame is preferably assigned to only one furniture module. Two furniture modules (or a furniture module and an intermediate module) do not therefore share the frame, in particular they do not share the frame either. In this way, for example, the top furniture module and the bottom furniture module can have the same shape.

In a further embodiment, the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, are covered jointly on the upper side by a cover plate and/or jointly on at least one side by at least one outer side wall. The entire arrangement of furniture modules and optionally intermediate modules is particularly preferably covered on the upper side and/or at least one side by a cover plate or an outer side wall.

A piece of furniture can thus be created in which the modular design is not apparent and which looks like conventional furniture. With a high quality of the cover plate and/or the outer side wall, a high-quality piece of furniture can be produced in a modular design. In particular, kitchen furniture for outdoor use can be created in this way.

In the production of such a piece of furniture, the furniture modules and optionally intermediate modules are first arranged next to one another. Thereafter, a cover plate is placed on top of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, such that the top of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, is covered by a cover plate. Also, at least one outside wall is applied on at least one side of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, such that the side of the at least two furniture modules, and preferably at least one intermediate module, is covered by the outside wall.

A fastening interface can be provided on the frame, by means of which the at least two furniture modules can be detachably connected to one another. Analogously, an intermediate module can also be connected to at least one furniture module.

In particular, the attachment interface can be formed as at least one hole in a first furniture module and in a second furniture module, wherein a fastener can be guided through the at least two holes. In the production of a piece of furniture, the hook and/or pin is inserted into the hole in the second furniture module when the first furniture module and the second furniture module are arranged together. The hook can get caught in the hole in the second furniture module, so

that the attachment of two pieces of furniture together can be done in one step.

In particular, the attachment interface can be designed as a stop projecting beyond the frame on a first furniture module, the second furniture module being able to be brought into contact with the stop of the first furniture module. In particular, the stop can be formed on two, preferably four, sides and, for example, project laterally beyond an underside or an upper side of a frame.

In the manufacture of a piece of furniture, the second furniture module is brought into contact with the stop of the first furniture module when it is arranged together. The furniture modules can thus be safely stacked, in particular when they are arranged one on top of the other.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the at least one furniture module has at least one electrical connection interface, by means of which electrical signals and/or an electrical supply voltage can be transmitted between the at least two furniture modules.

Preferably, at least one furniture module of the at least two furniture modules comprises at least one electrical device, with electrical signals being able to be processed by the electrical device and/or with the electrical device being operable from the electrical supply voltage. Provision can particularly preferably be made for the at least one electrical device to be in the form of a lamp, a drive for the furniture fitting and/or a transmitting and/or receiving unit.

The electrical device can fulfill functional tasks in the furniture: for example, the interior can be illuminated by means of a lamp in order to make it easier to find objects inside. The furniture fitting can have a drive so that a movable furniture component can be opened and/or ejected automatically. The furniture modules can communicate with one another by means of a transmitter and/or receiver unit, with which, for example, a synchronous actuation of several electrical furniture fittings can be realized.

It can be provided that a furniture module has a plug on a first side and a socket on a second side opposite the first side. The furniture modules can be connected in series by arranging them next to one another.

Electrical signals are preferably transmitted from a first furniture module to a second furniture module, particularly preferably from a transmitting unit in a first furniture module to a receiving unit in a second furniture module. At least one furniture fitting can be formed as a guide rail, with a drawer being able to be guided in the guide rail.

It is preferably provided that the frame comprises a lower part and an upper part, the lower part and the upper part each comprising at least three horizontal beams, a first horizontal beam being connected to a second horizontal beam and a second horizontal beam being connected to a third horizontal beam.

It can also be provided that the upper part and the lower part are arranged vertically offset from one another and are connected to one another via, preferably four, vertical supports, particularly preferably the vertical supports being connected to a horizontal support in an end region of a horizontal support.

1a shows a furniture module 2 or an intermediate module 6 comprising a frame 3 which is formed from a bent piece of sheet metal.

The piece of sheet metal has at least two bends 25, the two bends 25 having a bending angle of essentially 90°. The piece of sheet metal thus forms two side walls 23 and a rear wall 24 . The two side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 thus form a U-shaped frame 3 with a certain vertical extension.

An interior space 4 is spanned by the frame 3 , wherein at least one furniture fitting 5 can be fastened to the frame 3 in the interior space 4 for the movable mounting of a furniture component 42 relative to the frame 3 . The at least one furniture fitting 42 can be fastened in particular to bores 36 .

The side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 each have a horizontally arranged bearing surface 35 on their upper edge and on their lower edge. The bearing surfaces 35 are preferably also a part of the piece of sheet metal from which the side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 are formed. The bearing surface 35 is separated from the side walls 23 and the rear wall 24 by a bend with a bending angle of 90°.

Bores 12, in particular three, are arranged in each of the lateral bearing surfaces 35. A fastening interface 11 for the detachable connection of two furniture modules 2 can be realized by means of these bores 12, as described in more detail in FIGS. 2a and 2b.

The rear support surface 35 has an electrical connection interface 14 for electrically connecting two furniture modules. The electrical connection interface 14 is described in more detail in FIGS. 7a to 7c.

The frame 3 can also be used as an intermediate module 6, in particular when no furniture fitting 5 is attached to it.

1b shows a furniture module 2 comprising the frame 3 from FIG. 1a, with at least one, in particular two, furniture fittings 5 being fastened in the interior space 4 spanned by the frame 3. In particular, a furniture fitting 5 is fastened to a side wall 23 in the bores 36 provided for this purpose.

The furniture fitting 5 is formed as a guide rail 16, with a drawer 17 being able to be guided in the guide rail 16. However, the drawer 17 is not shown in FIG. The furniture modules 2 are each shaped as in FIG. 1c and have two furniture fittings 5, in particular guide rails, arranged on the side walls 23 and in the interior 4 of the frame 4 16, on which a drawer 17 with panel 39 is mounted.

The at least one furniture module 2 is suitable for being used as furniture without a further furniture module 2, with the frame 3 only being assigned to this one furniture module 2. In other words: two furniture modules 2 arranged next to one another do not share their frames 3 .

2a also shows the attachment interfaces 11, by means of which at least two furniture modules 2 can be detachably connected to one another. In particular, three attachment interfaces 11 are arranged on each of the upper and lower lateral bearing surfaces 35 .

The connection of the uppermost, second furniture module 22 and the middle, first furniture module 21 is described below. The middle furniture module 21 is connected to the lower furniture module in the same way.

The attachment interfaces 11 are each formed as a bore 12 in the first furniture module 21 and in the second furniture module 22 . In particular, the bores 12 in the first furniture module 21 are arranged in the upper, lateral support surface 35 and the bores 12 in the second furniture module 22 are arranged in the lower, lateral support surface 35 .

2b shows a detailed view of a fastening interface 11 of the first furniture module 21 and the second furniture module 22.

The bore 12 in the first furniture module 21 and the bore 12 in the second furniture module 22 are aligned one above the other, so that a fastener 13 can be guided through the two bores 12 .

The fastener 13 can be seen in isolation in Figure 2c, where the fastener 13 is here formed as a pin having a head 40 on one side and a beveled end 41 on the other side. Because of the beveled end 41, the fastening means 13 can be easily guided through the bores 12, with the head 40 striking the upper, second furniture module 22, in particular the bearing surface 35.

The first furniture module 22 and the second furniture module 21 are thus connected to one another in a detachable manner in a simple manner. In the same way, an intermediate module 6 with a

NEM furniture module 2 or another intermediate module 6 are connected.

3 shows a piece of furniture 1 consisting of six furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other and next to one another. In particular, the piece of furniture 1 consists of two stacks of three furniture modules 2 arranged next to one another, as is shown in FIG. 2a. The piece of furniture 1 thus has a total of six drawers 17, each with a panel 39.

The detachable connection of two furniture modules 2 arranged one above the other can be implemented as shown in FIGS. 2a to 2c. A detachable connection of two furniture modules arranged next to one another can be realized using fastening means other than those for the vertical connection, in which case the fastening means can still engage in the bores 12 . However, the horizontal connection is not shown in FIG.

4 shows the item of furniture 1 from FIG. 3 with a cover plate 9 and an outer side wall 10 . The furniture modules 2 are covered on the top 7 together by a cover plate 9 and on one side 8 together by an outside wall 10 . An outside wall 10 can also be arranged on the side facing away and/or the back of the piece of furniture 1 . Only the panels 39 of the drawers 17 are visible at the front of the furniture.

The modular piece of furniture 1 can thus no longer be distinguished from conventional furniture.

The panels 39, the cover plate 9 and the outside wall(s) 10 can be made of a weatherproof material. The piece of furniture 1 can thus be suitable as outdoor furniture.

5a shows a piece of furniture 1 comprising three furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other. On the upper and lower furniture module, on a right-hand side wall 23 and in the interior space 4 spanned by the frame 3, there is a furniture fitting 5, which is shaped as a hinge 18. fastened.

The middle furniture module 2 can also be formed as an intermediate module 6 .

In particular, a furniture fitting 5 does not have to be attachable to the middle furniture module 2 . Also, no holes 36 for attaching a furniture fitting 5 have to be provided.

Also not shown is a floor which delimits the interior space 4 of the three furniture modules 2 at the bottom. A floor is not mandatory, for example if the floor on which the piece of furniture 1 stands is also suitable as a floor for the storage space.

6a shows a further exemplary embodiment of a piece of furniture 1 with three furniture modules 2 arranged one on top of the other. In particular, the furniture fittings 5 are attached to the base body 45 on the side wall 23 of the furniture module 2 .

A mechanism for applying force to the actuating arm 19 can be arranged in the base body 45 . This can be accomplished mechanically or electrically, for example.

The two lower furniture modules 2 can also be formed as an intermediate module 6 . In particular, a furniture fitting 5 does not have to be attachable to the two lower furniture modules 2

As in FIG. 2a, the top furniture module 2 is referred to as the second furniture module 22 and the middle furniture module 2 as the first furniture module 21, with the electrical connection of two furniture modules 2 being explained in more detail on the basis of these two furniture modules 2.

8b shows a detailed view of the electrical connection interface 14 of the first furniture module 21 and the second furniture module 22. The electrical connection interface 14 of the first furniture module 21 is designed as a plug 44, in particular a two-pin plug, and is arranged on the rear, upper support surface 35 . The electrical connection interface 14 of the second furniture module 22 is in the form of a socket 43 , in particular a two-pole socket, and is arranged on the rear, lower support surface 35 .

When arranging the two furniture modules 21, 22 one on top of the other, the electrical contact can also be made in one step by inserting the plug 44 into the socket 43. In order not to damage the electrical connection interfaces 14 by moving the two furniture modules 21, 22 relative to one another, the furniture modules 21, 22 are also attached to one another at the attachment interfaces 11 by means of the attachment means 13.

It is preferably provided that at least one furniture module 2 comprises at least one electrical device, with electrical signals being able to be processed by the electrical device and/or with the electrical device being operable from the electrical supply voltage.

Through the electrical connection interface 14 electrical signals can be routed from a device in a furniture module 2 to the next furniture module 2, for example to be received there by another device. In this way, devices in different furniture modules can communicate with each other.

A supply voltage can also be divided between the furniture modules 2, so that only one mains connection for the entire piece of furniture 1 is necessary.

The at least one electrical device can be in the form of a lamp, a drive for the furniture fitting 5 and/or a transmitting and receiving unit.

In particular, the base body 45 of the furniture fitting 5 with the actuating arm 19 from Figures 6a and 6b can include a drive for applying force to the actuating arm 19, which is to be supplied with electrical voltage and/or receive or send control signals

can. Furniture fittings 5 can communicate with one another, for example to enable synchronized opening and closing of movable furniture components 42.

Figures 1a to 8b each relate to furniture modules 2, which have a frame 3 made of a sheet metal construction. However, the frame 3 can also be shaped differently.

Figures 9a to 9d show furniture modules 2, which have a frame 3 from a support structure. In this case, the frame 3 comprises a plurality of supports 26, with the supports 26 spanning the interior space 4.

9a shows in particular a furniture module 2 in which the frame 3 comprises a lower part 27 and an upper part 28. FIG. The lower part 27 comprises four horizontal beams 29, while the upper part 28 comprises three horizontal beams 29.

The upper part 28 and the lower part 27 are arranged vertically offset from one another and are connected to one another via four vertical supports 34 . The vertical supports 34 are each connected to a horizontal support 29 in an end region of a horizontal support 29 .

In detail, a first horizontal beam 30 is connected to a second horizontal beam 31 and a second horizontal beam 31 to a third horizontal beam 32 in the upper part 28 and the lower part 27 . The first horizontal support 30 is arranged orthogonally to the second horizontal support 31 and the second horizontal support 31 is arranged orthogonally to the third horizontal support 32 . The horizontal beams 29 are each connected to one another in an end region.

The lower part 27 also has a fourth horizontal beam 33 , the first horizontal beam 30 and the third horizontal beam 32 being connected to one another via a fourth horizontal beam 33 .

Thus, the lower part 27 is designed as a rectangular, closed frame and the upper part 28 as a rectangular, open frame.

In an alternative embodiment of a furniture module 2 in Fig. 9b, both the upper part 28 and the lower part 27 is designed as an open, rectangular frame. The front of the entire frame 3 (comprising upper part 28 and lower part 27) is open in this embodiment, in contrast to that of FIG. 9a.

Such a frame 3 is less stable, but increases the access area at the front of a piece of furniture assembled with it.

In the furniture modules 2 from FIGS. 9a and 9b, at least one furniture fitting 5 can be arranged in the area of an imaginary side wall, the imaginary side wall being spanned by supports 26, in particular two vertical supports 34 and two horizontal supports 29. If necessary, additional fastening supports are to be attached to the frame 3, which are not shown in FIGS. 9a and 9b.

If the frame 3 is used as an intermediate module 6, it is not necessary for a furniture fitting 5 to be attachable.

9c shows four furniture modules 2, which are arranged one above the other and are not yet attached to one another. Three of them are designed as in FIG. 9a and one of them, in particular the second one from below, is designed as in FIG. 9b.
