Die Erfindung betrifft einen Zerstäuberbrenner für flüssige Brennstoffe, bei dem ein inneres, den Brennstoff zuführenden Düsenrohr in einem äusseren, das Zerstäubungsmittel, z. B. Luft oder
Dampf, zuführenden Düsenrohr angeordnet ist, dessen Austrittsöffnung durch ein Ventil beherrscht wird. Gemäss der Erfindung ist ausserhalb und knapp vor der Düse des äusseren Düsenrohre ein kegel- stumpfförmiger Schirm derart angeordnet, dass zwischen dieser Düse und dem Schirm ein kegeliger
Spalt frei bleibt, durch den die angesaugte Luft gegen die Brennerachse hingeleitet wird. Hiedurch wird eine innige Mischung dieser Luft mit dem aus der Düse austretenden zerstäubten Brennstoff und somit eine vollkommene Verbrennung des letzteren erzielt.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform der Erfindung im Längsmittelschnitt dargestellt.
Im inneren Düsenrohr 4 ist eine Spindel 5 gelagert, die vorne ein Kegelventil 3 trägt. Das innere Düsenrohr 4 liegt innerhalb des gleichachsigen äusseren Düsenrohre 7, wobei die Austrittsöffnung der Düse 7'dieses Rohres vom Kegelventil 3 geregelt und verschlossen werden kann, indem die Spindel 5 im rückwärtigen Teil 10 des Düsenrohre 4 mittels eines Handrades verschraubt wird. Der Brenner ist im Gehäuse 2 untergebracht. In der Brennkammer 19, in der sich die Flamme ausbildet, sind eine oder mehrere elektrische Zündkerzen 13 angeordnet. Knapp vor der Düse 7'ist ein kegelstumpfförmiger Schirm 11 vorgesehen, der einen nach aussen ragenden, den Schirm umgebenden Flansch besitzt.
