  Hallenbinder,

  Hall ties,
The known hall trusses require either horizontal tie rods (two-hinged arches) or strong foundation abutments (three-hinged arches) to absorb the horizontal shear forces. With these constructions the disadvantage arises that either the available free interior space is partially withdrawn from practical use or, as with the three-hinged arch, that the manufacturing costs of the necessary foundation abutments are very high. These disadvantages should be avoided in the case of the hall truss according to the inventive idea.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the indoor truss according to the invention is shown in view.

The tie consists in a known way of angularly lined up elements 1 which are secured against lateral displacement at the joints by means of connecting pieces 3 inserted in recesses 2. Connecting bodies 4 are arranged in the joints created by lining up the elements 1. These inserts 4 are designed in such a way that they form eyes 6 for tie rods 8 articulated by means of bolts 7 outside the joints. The tie rods 8 are according to the
Invention idea arranged in such a way that they always connect two non-consecutive nodes. The tie rods can be tensioned by turnbuckles 9 or the like.

Through the arrangement of the tension members according to the invention, overlapping triangular bracings, each consisting of two tension members subjected to compression and one tension member, are formed.

The new hall girder enables extensive use of space and savings
