Natriumphosphat stört in keiner Weise.

Process for the production of a base material for metal cleaning agents.
The agents usually used for cleaning metals are partly in powder form, partly in liquid form, seldom in the form of a paste or an ointment and usually have an alkaline or neutral reaction.
The subject of the present invention is a process for the production of a durable, water-containing acidic or neutral reacting gel, which can be mixed with any additives, such as polishing agents,
EMI1.1
liquid to semi-solid cleaning agent can be processed.
The silica gel used in the present case acts not only as a carrier for the above-mentioned additives but also as a mild polishing agent.
It is known to produce cleaning agents in which a silica gel is used, which is made from soda water glass by only partially separating the gel, that is, it reacts alkaline and is mixed with additives in this state.
It is also known, in cleaning agents which consist of mixtures of different constituents with small additions of water glass, to partially separate out the silica from the water glass by adding acid. This cleaning agent also has an alkaline reaction.
According to the present invention, the silica gel is produced by the action of dilute, aqueous solutions of potassium or soda waterglass and a dilute acid, e.g. B.
Sulfuric or phosphoric acid, the two liquids containing the additives to be accommodated in the gel, oxidizing agents, degreasers, colorants, etc., before they are brought together.
Embodiment:

<tb> Iron chloride <SEP> 4 <SEP> long
<tb> W <SEP> high hydrogen <SEP>: <SEP> xyd <SEP> 30% ............................ ..,. <SEP> 2 <SEP> kg

Solution I and solution II are poured together at 20-30 C and, after standing for a long time (10-12 hours), result in a semi-solid, extremely homogeneous jelly, which can be used excellently as a basis for an acidic metal cleaning agent.
If the base is to react neutrally, the acid is added in a stoichiometric ratio to the sodium silicate solution. This neutral base can then be processed for a neutral or with alkaline additives for an alkaline cleaning agent. The sodium sulfate or sodium phosphate that occurs during the formation of the gel does not interfere in any way.
Other desired insoluble additives, such as polishing agents, etc., are added to the finished jelly by pouring in or stirring in.
The present method for producing a base for cleaning agents has the great advantage that neutral, acidic and alkaline cleaning agents of various compositions can be produced in the simplest way as desired, in which the additives are distributed completely evenly in the finest form, without any mechanical processing necessary is.
This makes it possible for very special purposes, for which no other suitable cleaning agent is available on the market, to quickly produce what you want.
