Wird der Gasregler nach dem Lösen der Holländerverbindung mit Hilfe eines in die Vertiefung 11 einsetzbaren Schraubenziehers eingeschraubt, so werden die Konusteile mehr oder weniger gegen die Stirnkante der Leitung 7 gedrückt und dadurch einander genähert, was einem Verengen des   Durehgangsquerschnittes   für das Gas gleichkommt. Beim Ausschrauben des Gasreglers federn die Konusteile auseinander, wodurch der Querschnitt vergrössert wird.

   Diese   Quersehnittsänderung   geht ohne Druckverlust vor sich, weil keine Körper oder Flächen dem Gasstrom entgegengestellt werden, und ermöglicht eine Einregelung der   Flammenlängen   bzw.   Flammenst1irken   für beliebige Zwecke.
