Rohrbruch-Selbstschlussventil.
Das in den Fig. 1 im Längsschnitt und 2 im Querschnitt dargestellte Ventil bezweckt die selbsttätige Absperrung einer Druckleitung gegen die Druckquelle, zum Beispiel einer Dampfrohrleitung gegen einen Dampfkessel, im Augenblicke des Bruches der Dampfleitung, der Explosion eines angeschlossenen Dampfkessels oder eines ähnlichen Unfalles, selbst wenn die Bruchöffnung im Verhältnis zum Rohrquerschnitte am Selbstschlussventile nur gering ist. Das eigentliche Rohrbruchventil befindet sich in der unteren Kammer eines gewöhnlichen Durchgangsventilgehäuses a, in dessen oberer Kammer ein gewöhnliches Handabsperrventil angeordnet ist.
