Abstract

Se proporcionan enzimas aisladas que exhiben actividad insecticida, nematicida o pesticida, y microorganismos recombinantes que expresan dichas enzimas, así como métodos para usar las mismas para proteger una planta de un patógeno o plaga, mejorar la salud de la planta o mejorar el crecimiento de la planta. Reivindicación 1: Una composición para proteger una planta de una plaga o patógeno que comprende por lo menos una enzima aislada seleccionada entre una esterasa, una quitinasa, una proteasa, una lipasa, y combinaciones de cualquiera de las mismas; en donde: a) la quitinasa comprende una secuencia que tiene por lo menos 85% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia seleccionada entre las SEQ ID Nº 179 - 205, y 249; b) la proteasa comprende una secuencia que tiene por lo menos 85% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia seleccionada entre las SEQ ID Nº 122 - 178, 247, y 310 - 327; o c) la lipasa comprende una secuencia que tiene por lo menos 85% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia seleccionada entre las SEQ ID Nº 1 - 82, 250, 251, 256 - 260, y 290 - 307; y en donde la composición exhibe actividad insecticida, nematicida o pesticida. Reivindicación 4: Una semilla de planta recubierta con la composición de la reivindicación 1. Reivindicación 16: Un microorganismo recombinante que expresa una enzima, en donde la expresión de la enzima aumenta en comparación con el nivel de expresión de la enzima en un microorganismo de tipo salvaje del mismo tipo en las mismas condiciones; y la enzima se selecciona entre una esterasa, una quitinasa, una proteasa, una lipasa, y combinaciones de cualquiera de las mismas; y en donde: a) la quitinasa comprende una secuencia que tiene por lo menos 85% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia seleccionada entre las SEQ ID Nº 179 - 205, y 249; b) la proteasa comprende una secuencia que tiene por lo menos 85% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia seleccionada entre las SEQ ID Nº 122 - 178, 247, y 310 - 327; o c) la lipasa comprende una secuencia que tiene por lo menos 85% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia seleccionada entre las SEQ ID Nº 1 - 82, 250, 251, 256 - 260, y 290 - 307; y en donde el microorganismo recombinante exhibe actividad insecticida, nematicida o pesticida. Reivindicación 17: Una composición para proteger una planta de una plaga o patógeno, que comprende el microorganismo recombinante de la reivindicación 16. Reivindicación 22: Un producto de fermentación del microorganismo recombinante de la reivindicación 16. Reivindicación 23: Una formulación que comprende el producto de fermentación de la reivindicación 22 y al menos un portador agrícolamente aceptable.
