Abstract
Sistemas y métodos para producir metanol usando gas de síntesis, que es principalmente una mezcla de hidrógeno y monóxido de carbono, hidrógeno y un subproducto de dióxido de carbono que reducen en forma significativa las emisiones y/o secuestro de dióxido de carbono. El gas de síntesis puede ser producido, por ejemplo, por un reactor autotérmico, un reformador de metano con vapor o un gasificador. El hidrógeno puede ser producido por un electrolizador.
