Abstract

Sistema de recubrimiento de placas de acero resistentes al desgaste por abrasión que se une al sustrato que se va a proteger mediante un adhesivo con características de resistencia mecánica al desgarramiento, al cizallamiento y resistencia a la fatiga y que permite la separación de dichas placas de acero elevando su temperatura. El uso de un adhesivo en lugar de otros medios de unión de las placas de acero al sustrato, tales como soldadura, tornillos, remaches, ensambles mecánicos y similares facilita la instalación y el reemplazo de las placas del recubrimiento sin necesidad de herramientas especializadas. Además, el adhesivo mejora la distribución de esfuerzos causados por el peso e impacto de materiales abrasivos y evita las perforaciones en el sustrato para colocación de remaches o tornillos, que derivan en problemas de corrosión y/o debilitamiento de los equipos de movimiento de materiales. Puede también funcionar como sellador y protector contra la corrosión del sustrato. La invención encuentra aplicación, entre otras, en vehículos de carga y transporte de materiales en las industrias minera, siderúrgica, agrícola y de construcción, así como en maquinaria y componentes industriales donde el contacto con materiales abrasivos causa un desgaste importante, tales como vagones de ferrocarril, tolvas, ductos, transportadores, mezcladoras de cemento, maquinaria agrícola y maquinaria para beneficio y explotación de minerales.
