Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composiciones protectoras de herbicidas que contienen ácido piroglutámico (PGA) y que tienen utilidad particular en usos agrícolas, p. ej., al aplicarse directamente al suelo y/o a las partes de la planta, para reducir los efectos fitotóxicos de determinados herbicidas en cultivos cultivados. Reivindicación 1: Un método para controlar el crecimiento de vegetación no deseada en un área diana, el método caracterizado porque comprende aplicar al área diana una cantidad con eficacia herbicida de una composición herbicida que comprende un herbicida que se selecciona de un inhibidor de la síntesis de lípidos, un inhibidor de la síntesis de aminoácidos, un inhibidor del metabolismo de nitrógeno, un inhibidor del regulador del crecimiento y una combinación de estos; y aplicar una composición protectora de herbicidas que comprende ácido piroglutámico (PGA) y/o 2-oxoglutamarato a una concentración menor que 1 g/L, en donde la composición protectora de herbicidas se aplica al área diana en una cantidad eficaz para ocasionar un efecto protector de herbicidas, y en donde el área diana contiene plantas de cultivos cultivados que se seleccionan de cultivos especiales, cultivos azucareros, leguminosas y una combinación de estos.
