Reivindicación 1: Un método para minimizar la formación de semillas de polímero popcorn, comprendiendo el método: agregar una composición de tratamiento a un sistema que contiene monómero, siendo dicho sistema capaz de formar semillas de polímero popcorn o comprende semillas de polímero popcorn. Reivindicación 15: Un método para inhibir el crecimiento de polímero popcorn, comprendiendo el método: agregar una composición de tratamiento a un sistema que contiene monómero, en donde dicha composición de tratamiento comprende una metida de quinona, un derivado de metida de quinona o un compuesto basado en un análogo de metida de quinona, y en donde dicho sistema comprende semilla o polímero popcorn.
