Abstract

La presente acta está dirigida a una planta transgénica y a un método para producirla, permitiendo aumentar la biomasa y el rendimiento de la misma. En particular, la presente se dirige a una planta transgénica o una célula vegetal en la que se introduce una molécula de ácido nucleico que codifica una m⁶A desmetilasa, donde dicha m⁶A desmetilasa tiene los dos dominios siguientes: i) dominio N-terminal (NTD) que tiene la función de la desmetilasa de oxidación de AlkB; y ii) dominio C-terminal (CTD). La presente divulgación también se dirige a un método para producir dicha planta, que comprende introducir una molécula de ácido nucleico que codifica una m⁶A desmetilasa en una célula de planta regenerable, y regenerar una planta transgénica a partir de la célula vegetal regenerable.
