Abstract

La presente proporciona composiciones a base de polietileno adecuadas para aplicaciones de envasado, películas y artículos. En un aspecto, una composición a base de polietileno adecuada para aplicaciones de envasado comprende (a) al menos 97% en peso, en función del peso total de la composición a base de polietileno, de una composición de polietileno que comprende: (i) de 25 a 37 por ciento en peso de una primera fracción de polietileno que tiene una densidad en el rango de 0,935 a 0,947 g/cm³ y un índice de fusión (I₂) de menos de 0,1 g/10 minutos; y (ii) de 63 a 75 por ciento en peso de una segunda fracción de polietileno; y (b) de 90 a 540 ppm, en función del peso total de la composición a base de polietileno de una sal de calcio de ácido 1,2-ciclohexandicarboxílico; en donde la composición de polietileno tiene menos de 0,10 ramificaciones por 1.000 átomos de carbono cuando se mide mediante ¹³C NMR, en donde la densidad de la composición a base de polietileno es de al menos 0,965 g/cm³, y en donde el índice de fusión (I₂) de la composición a base de polietileno es de 0,5 a 10 g/10 minutos.
