Abstract

Métodos de remodelación microbiana guiada (GMR) para mejorar de manera racional los microorganismos asociados a plantas para que cumplan funciones beneficiosas para las plantas. Los métodos GMR que se describen aquí permiten una optimización genética no intergenérica de las redes reguladoras clave en los microorganismos, que mejoran las funciones beneficiosas para plantas con respecto a los microorganismos de tipo salvaje pero que no presentan los riesgos asociados con los abordajes transgénicos (es decir, una función genética impredecible, problemas con el público y con las normas reguladoras, etc.). La presente divulgación también provee microorganismos remodelados y de composiciones con los mismos. La utilización de microorganismos remodelados y de composiciones con los mismos permitirá que los productores obtengan rendimientos de cultivo más predecibles y productivos sin la degradación de nutrientes, lixiviación o escurrimiento tóxico asociados con los fertilizantes tradicionales sintéticos.
