Abstract
Se describe un método para la eliminación de polvo de urea del gas residual de una sección de acabado de una planta de producción de urea. El método comprende someter el gas residual a enfriamiento con agua para producir gas residual enfriado. El gas residual enfriado se somete a humidificación mediante la mezcla de dicha corriente de gas enfriada con un fluido de humidificación seleccionado a partir de (a) vapor saturado y (b) vapor sobrecalentado mezclado con una segunda corriente acuosa, para producir una corriente de gas humidificado, someter dicha corriente de gas humidificado a separación de partículas (esto es, eliminación de polvo) por medio de un líquido de depuración en el cual al menos parte de las partículas en la corriente del gas son solubles.
