Abstract

Marcadores para líquidos que se pueden usar para autenticar el origen y la autenticidad de un liquido, con preferencia, un liquido a granel como combustible. Para este fin, se enseña el uso de un polímero capaz de formar una partícula polimérica semiconductora (pdot) en el líquido en pequeñas cantidades. Esta comprende un liquido que comprende a) un polímero que es capaz de formar una partícula polimérica semiconductora (pdot), siendo la concentración del polímero de 10 ppm en peso o menos y b) una sustancia orgánica en una cantidad del 90% en peso o más. También se proporciona el uso de tal polímero como un marcador de autenticación en un líquido, con preferencia, un combustible y un método de autenticación de la autenticidad y/o del origen de un líquido que comprende un polímero capaz de formar una partícula polimérica semiconductora (pdot), que comprende las etapas de i) concentración, aislamiento y/o extracción del polímero capaz de formar una partícula polimérica semiconductora (pdot); ii) agregación del polímero o el polímero obtenido en la etapa (i) para formar partículas poliméricas semiconductoras (pdots); iii) irradiación de las pdots formadas con radiación electromagnética capaz de excitar las pdots para emitir radiación electromagnética por fluorescencia y/o fosforescencia, y iv) observación de la radiación electromagnética emitida en respuesta a la radiación por excitación de la etapa (iii).
