Abstract
Se describe un durmiente ferroviario (1) para la fijación de al menos un par de rieles (2, 2) de una red ferroviaria, el durmiente ferroviario (1) comprende una superficie de contacto (3) en donde cada riel del par de rieles (2, 2) está fijado espaciadamente uno con relación al otro, el durmiente ferroviario (1) está configurado porque comprende un sector hueco (4) delimitado a partir de la asociación de la superficie de contacto (3) con las paredes de anclaje (5, 5), estableciendo así una porción libre (17) adyacente a las paredes de anclaje (5, 5) y opuesta a la superficie de contacto (3). Se describe además una configuración en donde el sector hueco (4) del durmiente ferroviario es delimitado por una superficie de apoyo y un proceso de fabricación de un durmiente ferroviario.
