Abstract

Each set of compression stages includes a cylinder with a piston that moves alternately inside the cylinder to compress and pressurize the fluid in it. The alternative compressor can be an un-lubricated design and thereby eliminates the contamination of lubricating oil from compressed natural gas downstream or high molecular weight hydrocarbons.
