Abstract

Se proporcionan sistemas y métodos para seleccionar tensioactivos para uso en formaciones subterráneas. En una modalidad, los métodos comprenden: proporcionar una muestra de petróleo de al menos una parte de una formación subterránea; medir al menos una de la cantidad total de acido (TAN) y la cantidad total de base (TBN) de la muestra de petróleo; y seleccionar un conjunto de tensioactivos para evaluar un tratamiento en al menos una parte de la formación subterránea basada en al menos uno de la TAN y la TBN de la muestra de petróleo, el conjunto de tensioactivos se selecciona del grupo que consiste en: un conjunto de tensioactivos catiónicos, un conjunto de tensioactivos aniónicos y un conjunto de tensioactivos zwitteriónicos.
