Abstract

Una composición deshidratante y método de uso de la misma para secar corrientes de gas, en particular corrientes de gas natural, en donde la composición deshidratante comprende uno o más alcoholes polihídricos. Preferiblemente, dichos alcoholes polihídricos tienen un contenido de hidroxilo mayor o igual que 31 por ciento y menor o igual que 75 por ciento del peso fórmula del compuesto. Dichas composiciones deshidratantes de alcohol polihídrico son particularmente adecuadas para deshidratar y desalar corrientes de gas que comprenden agua y una o más sales.
