Abstract

Claim 1: A dentifrice composition comprising: (a) 45% to 75% water by weight of the composition; (b) 25% to 50% of a calcium-containing abrasive by weight of the composition, preferably, wherein the calcium-containing abrasive comprises calcium carbonate; (c) 0.0025% to 2%, of a fluoride ion source by weight of the composition; (d) 0.01% to 7% of a linear sulfated polysaccharide by weight of the composition, preferably characterized in that the linear sulfated polysaccharide is a carrageenan; and (e) pH greater than 8.0.
