Abstract
Un proceso para preparar olefinas C₂ y C₃ comprende poner en contacto una corriente de alimentación, que incluye hidrógeno, monóxido de carbono y un catalizador bifuncional en una reacción bajo ciertas condiciones específicas. El catalizador incluye como componentes (1) óxidos metálicos mixtos de óxido de cromo y óxido de zinc, y (2) un tamiz molecular SAPO-34. El producto resultante de la reacción es relativamente alto en las olefinas inferiores objetivo y relativamente bajo en los productos menos deseados, que incluyen parafinas C₂ y C₃, hidrocarburos C₄⁺, oxigenados y metano, por lo tanto se reduce o se elimina la necesidad de ciertas separaciones previamente comunes y costosas. El catalizador bifuncional como se utiliza en el proceso inventivo también ofrece mejoras en la vida del catalizador en comparación con algunos catalizadores de metanol a olefinas. El proceso se puede llevar a cabo como una sola operación unitaria.
