Abstract
Proceso y dispositivos para producir fibras continuas de carbono con elevadas características mecánicas a partir de derivados pesados de petróleo, como aceite de decantación, residuos aromáticos o cualquier otra mezcla que tenga elevado contenido de hidrocarburos aromáticos. Según el proceso inventivo es posible obtener betún mesofásico de petróleo, con contenido de mesofase por encima de 70%, para producir fibras continuas de carbono a partir de betún de petróleo con elevadas características mecánicas y a bajo costo. Tales dispositivos comprenden dispositivos de burbujeo, desarrollados para garantizar una buena distribución de gas en el seno del material de manera simple y eficaz.
