Abstract
La presente se refiere a una planta con esterilidad masculina de la especie Triticum, la totalidad de cuyos alelos del gen que codifica TDF (tapetal development and function) están desactivados, y a sus partes, semillas y descendientes, como también a vectores y plantas transgénicas, procedimientos para la producción de plantas, procedimientos para restaurar una fertilidad, y procedimientos para la comprobación de esterilidad masculina. Reivindicación 2: Planta de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, caracterizada porque el gen que codifica TDF comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos seleccionada entre las siguientes: (a) una secuencia de nucleótidos de la SEQ ID Nº 1, 2 ó 3 o de la SEQ ID Nº 7, 8 ó 9; (b) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que codifica una proteína que contiene una de las secuencias de aminoácidos de la SEQ ID Nº 10, 11 ó 12 o una secuencia de aminoácidos que presenta una identidad de secuencias de por lo menos el 80% con respecto a una de las secuencias de aminoácidos de la SEQ ID Nº 10, 11 ó 12; (c) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que es complementaria con respecto a (a) o (b); (d) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que es homóloga con respecto a (a) o (b), en donde la secuencia de nucleótidos codifica una proteína de TDF; (e) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que en condiciones rigurosas se hibrida con (a) o (b); y (f) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que en condiciones rigurosas se hibrida con (c), en donde la secuencia de nucleótidos codifica una proteína de TDF. Reivindicación 11: Ácido nucleico que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos seleccionada entre las siguientes: (a) una secuencia de nucleótidos de la SEQ ID Nº 1, 2 ó 3 o de la SEQ ID Nº 7, 8 ó 9; (b) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que codifica una proteína que contiene una de las secuencias de aminoácidos de la SEQ ID Nº 10, 11 ó 12 o una secuencia de aminoácidos que presenta una identidad de por lo menos el 80% con respecto a una de las secuencias de aminoácidos de la SEQ ID Nº 10, 11 ó 12; (c) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que es complementaria con respecto a (a) o (b); (d) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que es homóloga con respecto a (a) o (b), en donde la secuencia de nucleótidos codifica una proteína de TDF; (e) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que en condiciones rigurosas se hibrida con (a) o (b); (f) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que en condiciones rigurosas se hibrida con (c), en donde la secuencia de nucleótidos codifica una proteína de TDF; (g) una secuencia de nucleótidos, que es una secuencia parcial de las secuencias de nucleótidos mencionadas en de (a) a (f) con por lo menos 17 nucleótidos consecutivos en una orientación de sentido, de antisentido o complementaria.This refers to a plant with male sterility of the species Triticum, all of whose alleles of the gene coding for TDF (tapetal development and function) are deactivated, and their parts, seeds and descendants, as well as vectors and transgenic plants, procedures for the production of plants, procedures for restoring fertility, and procedures for checking male sterility. Claim 11: Nucleic acid comprising a nucleotide sequence selected from the following: (a) a nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID No. 1, 2 or 3 or of SEQ ID No. 7, 8 or 9; (b) a nucleotide sequence, which encodes a protein that contains one of the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID No. 10, 11 or 12 or an amino acid sequence that has an identity of at least 80% with respect to a of the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID No. 10, 11 or 12; (c) a nucleotide sequence, which is complementary with respect to (a) or (b); (d) a nucleotide sequence, which is homologous with respect to (a) or (b), wherein the nucleotide sequence encodes a TDF protein; (e) a nucleotide sequence, which under stringent conditions hybridizes with (a) or (b); (f) a nucleotide sequence, which under stringent conditions hybridizes with (c), wherein the nucleotide sequence encodes a TDF protein; (g) a nucleotide sequence, which is a partial sequence of the nucleotide sequences mentioned in from (a) to (f) with at least 17 consecutive nucleotides in a sense, antisense or complementary orientation.
