Abstract
El presente documento describe un proceso simplificado ventajoso y efectivo para la producción de pélets de mena de hierro, en el que los pélets verdes remplazan los pélets quemados para cubrir la superficie metálica en el horno de parrilla viajera durante la etapa de ustión. El proceso consta de, como mínimo, algunas, o de todas, las etapas de molido de la mena de hierro, filtrado de la mena triturada de hierro, mezclado de la mena filtrada de hierro con, como mínimo un ligante; peletización de la mezcla; secado de los pélets verdes, transferencia de los pélets a las rejillas laterales e inferior de un equipo de horno de parrilla viajera y cernido de los pélets quemados de mena de hierro.
