Abstract
Un dispositivo de campo para el uso en un sistema de control de procesos incluye un módulo de programación configurado para recibir un ingreso de tiempo que especifica una hora programada para llevar a cabo una acción programada o una secuencia de acciones programada y para recibir un ingreso de acción que especifica la acción programada o la secuencia de acciones programada. A la hora programada, el módulo de programación automáticamente inicia la acción programada o la secuencia de acciones programada. Luego de iniciar la acción o la secuencia de acciones, el módulo de programación causa un estado de iniciación que indica que la acción o la secuencia de acciones se ha iniciado para ser enviada a un servidor y/o causa que el estado de iniciación se almacene en una memoria local del dispositivo de campo.
