Abstract
Composición para el cuidado oral que comprende un acido carboxílico de la fórmula (1) en donde: R¹ es H, o es un grupo alquilo sustituido o no sustituido; y R² es H, OH, o NH₂; o en donde el ácido carboxílico de la fórmula (1) es ácido fumárico o N-acetilneuramínico; para el uso en: (a) promover selectivamente, en la cavidad oral: crecimiento, actividad metabólica o colonización de bacterias que tienen efectos benéficos en la salud oral, relativa al crecimiento, actividad metabólica o colonización de bacterias orales patogénicas; (b) promover selectivamente, en la cavidad oral, la formación de biopelícula por bacteria que tienen efectos benéficos en la salud oral, relativa la formación de biopelícula por bacterias orales patogénicas; o (c) mantener y/o re-establecer una microflora oral sana. Composición caracterizada porque el ácido carboxílico es ácido aspártico o glutámico o ácido L-láctico o ácido melibiótico o ácido succínico o ácido L-málico o ácido a-cetoglutárico y uso de un ácido de fórmula (1).
