Abstract

Se describe un método y aparato para medir desde adelante de una barrena de perforación. El aparato de medición incluye una sonda de medición con al menos un sensor que puede usarse delante de la barrena de perforación. La sonda de medición puede ser transportada mediante un cable a través del interior de una sarta de perforación. En una realización alternativa, la sonda de medición puede estar unida a un ariete que está colocado dentro de la sarta de perforación y que se puede extender y replegar. En dicha realización, la sonda de medición se puede recuperar mediante un cable. La sonda de medición opcionalmente incluye brazos plegables que se repliegan cuando la sonda de medición está dentro de la sarta de perforación o la barrena de perforación y que se extienden cuando la sonda de medición se usa delante de la barrena de perforación. Uno o más sensores de medición pueden acoplarse a los brazos plegables. Las mediciones pueden ser comunicadas a la superficie mediante telemetría.
