Abstract

3-((3,3,3-trifluoropropilo)tio)ácido propiónico y sus ésteres se preparan mediante un proceso de radicales libres a baja temperatura que implica el acoplamiento de radicales libres de ácido 3-mercaptopropiónico y sus ésteres con 3,3,3-trifluoropropeno. Se mejora la relación entre el isómero lineal y ramificado. Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para la preparación de 3-((3,3,3-trifluoropropilo)tio)ácido propiónico o sus ésteres de fórmula (1) en donde R representa H o alquilo C₁₋₄ que comprende el acoplamiento del ácido 3-mercaptopropiónico o sus ésteres de fórmula (2) en donde R es tal como se define anteriormente con 3,3,3-trifluoropropeno de fórmula (3) en presencia del iniciador 2,2-azobis(4-metoxi-2,4-dimetilo)valeronitrilo de fórmula (4) a temperaturas de aproximadamente 0ºC hasta aproximadamente 40ºC en un solvente orgánico inerte.3 - ((3,3,3-trifluoropropyl) thio) propionic acid and its esters are prepared by a low-temperature free radical process that involves coupling free radicals of 3-mercaptopropionic acid and its esters with 3,3, 3-trifluoropropene.
