Abstract

Método para mejorar la tolerancia de una planta, que se ha modificado genéticamente para sobreexpresar una p-hidroxifenilpiruvato-dioxigenasa (HPPD), a un herbicida que inhibe la HPPD, donde dicho método comprende aplicar a dicha planta un compuesto hidrosoluble que contiene hierro. Además se refiere a un método para controlar de manera selectiva las malezas en un emplazamiento, donde el emplazamiento comprende malezas y plantas de cultivo, donde las plantas de cultivo se han modificado genéticamente para sobreexpresar una HPPD que confiere tolerancia a un herbicida que inhibe la HPPD, donde el método comprende la aplicación al emplazamiento de (i) una cantidad de un herbicida que inhibe la HPPD que controla la maleza y (ii) un compuesto hidrosoluble que contiene hierro. La presente solicitud además se refiere a composiciones herbicidas que comprenden un herbicida que inhibe la HPPD y un compuesto hidrosoluble que contiene hierro.
