Abstract

La forma polimórfica del ácido 2-(3-ciano-4-isobutiloxifenil)-4-metil-5-tiazol-carboxílico (Febuxostal) y el proceso para su preparación, se puede representar como se muestra en el Esquema A, que comprende los pasos indicados.Reivindicación 1: Una forma cristalina III del ácido 2-(3-ciano-4-isobutiloxifenil)-4-metil-5-tiazol-carboxílico caracterizado porque muestra el patrón de difracción de rayos X de polvo en (a) con picos característicos con un ángulo de reflexión de 2q en alrededor de 3,0; 5,9; 8,8; 11,8; 12,3; 13,4; 14,7; 17,7; 20,1; 23,8; 24,4; 25,2; 26,1; 27,1; 29,1; 32,0; y un espectro infrarrojo en (b), con señales características de absorción en 1693,6; 1684,9 y 1660,8 cm-1.
