Abstract

Microviscosímetro de bajo costo y fácil operación apto para estudios clínicos de diagnóstico médico y otros ensayos de fluidos. El equipo está constituido por un microcanal (2) constituido por microcanales concatenados realizado con técnicas de microfabricación, y un detector de posición de columna de fluido dentro del microcanal. Los microcanales están abiertos de un extremo y cerrados del otro y son de un único material biocompatible. Cuando una gota de líquido es insertada en la entrada del microcanal (2) el fluido ingresa por capilaridad hasta que la presión de aire comprimido se iguala a la presión de capilaridad más la presión atmosférica. Se analiza el movimiento transitorio del líquido desde que ingresa al canal hasta que se detiene en su posición de equilibrio obteniéndose como resultado la viscosidad y presión de capilaridad del líquido ensayado.
