Abstract

La presente solicitud se refiere a un método para la eliminacion catalítica de dioxido de azufre y dioxido de carbono de gases de escape en un reactor cargado con un catalizador de carbon activado, caracterizado por las siguientes etapas: saturacion del carbon activado con SO2, saturacion o saturacion parcial de los gases de escape con agua, introduccion de los gases de escape en el reactor, conversion catalítica de SO2 en H2SO4 y, paralelamente, conversion catalítica de CO2 en C y O2 y en compuestos de azufre-carbono en el mismo catalizador, lavado del catalizador y descarga del H2SO4 en forma de un líquido y el C en forma de un solido y/o unido a compuestos de azufre.
