Abstract
La solicitud se refiere a un dispositivo para la condensacion, separacion y almacenamiento de azufre en una planta de Claus que consiste en un horno de Claus, una caldera de recuperacion y un reactor de Claus, estas secciones de la planta tienen como soporte una base o un dispositivo comparable, y se proporciona una cámara de inmersion a un nivel por debajo de la planta de Claus y, si se instala, también debajo de un dispositivo corriente arriba para el lavado del gas, la cámara capta el azufre de una manera tipo sifon, el azufre en exceso que fluye a un nivel inferior de al menos 4,00 metros desde la cámara de inmersion a un recipiente a nivel del suelo que contiene la cámara de inmersion. La solicitud también se refiere a un proceso con la ayuda del cual, el azufre líquido se incorpora a una cámara de inmersion, la cámara de inmersion se dispone a un nivel de altura por debajo de la caldera de recuperacion y el reactor de Claus de modo que el azufre líquido entra a la cámara de inmersion sin la ayuda de un dispositivo de transporte adicional y supera una diferencia de altitud de al menos 4,00 metros. La solicitud permite el almacenamiento del azufre que sale de una planta de Claus de manera sencilla y compatible con el medio ambiente, no se requieren instalaciones de transporte para el azufre, y una completa separacion del azufre de los gases de combustion del proceso de Claus.
