Abstract

Un protector de la caja 21 destinado a proteger la superficie interior de una caja 11 de una tubería con unión roscada que posee una porción roscada hembra y una superficie de hombro 14 cuya superficie de hombro se encuentra inclinada en un ángulo q con respecto a la dirección perpendicular del eje del tubo posee una porción roscada macho 22 que se acopla roscadamente con por lo menos una porción de la rosca completa de la porción roscada hembra de la caja y una superficie de hombro 21b que contacta herméticamente la superficie de hombro 14 de la caja para formar una primera porción de sello, y la superficie de hombro 21b se encuentra inclinada en un ángulo qP (qP > q) con respecto a la dirección perpendicular del eje del tubo. El protector posee una ranura circunferencial 30 en su superficie periférica exterior próxima a la superficie de hombro 21b y un anillo elástico de sello 28 que está en contacto con la superficie de hombro 14 de la caja 11 y forma una segunda porción de sello.
