Abstract
La presente se relaciona con un método para fabricar una lente de contacto que tiene una marca visible; el método incluye las etapas de (i) curar un hidrogel que tiene componentes reactivos que incluyen un colorante leuco y un componente de silicona para formar la lente de contacto y (ii) activar el colorante leuco en al menos una porción de la lente para cambiar el color del colorante leuco a fin de crear la marca visible, en donde el colorante leuco contiene al menos un grupo funcional de metacrilato, acrilato o estireno y el colorante leuco se polimeriza con el componente de silicona durante la etapa de curación.
