Abstract
Morteros y hormigones basados en cemento Portland que exhiben una reducción importante de la fisuración por contracción cuando se formulan con combinaciones sinérgicas de óxido de magnesio (MgO), Mezclas de Reducción de Contracción (SRA) y Polímeros Súper Absorbentes (SAP). El problema de usar estos es que MgO es un sólido que reacciona con agua, SRA es un líquido y SAP si no se añade de forma apropiada puede expulsar agua fuera del sistema y, de este modo, aumenta en lugar de disminuir la contracción. La presente además proporciona un medio para combinar los presentes productos para dar lugar a un aditivo. Esta no constituye una cuestión trivial ya que existen límites en cuanto las cantidades máximas de los materiales que pueden estar presentes para evitar efectos adversos sobre el rendimiento, que es preciso equilibrar debido a la dificultad de combinar estos materiales en una proporción útil. Esta mezclas únicas se pueden usar como materiales complementarios de cementación ya que no afectan de manera importante a las propiedades de resistencia del hormigón o del propio cemento Portland. Las combinaciones apropiadas de MgO, SRA y/o SAP, cuando se mezclan en las proporciones apropiadas, también se comportan mejor frente a la reducción de fisuración en comparación con los cementos expansivos (EC) comúnmente usados.Reivindicación 14: Un polvo seco apto para fluir que comprende óxido de magnesio que incluye material ligero calcinado a temperaturas que varían desde aproximadamente 750ºC a aproximadamente 1.200ºC; y una mezcla de reducción de la contracción y SRA.
