Abstract
Un reactor purificador biológico y su procedimiento, donde el agua a ser tratada y el gas oxigenado son enviados en corrientes conjuntas ascendentes en el mismo reactor que comprende, como material de filtrado biológico, un lecho compacto y un volumen de portadores móviles y huecos que presentan un área de superficie protegida para el desarrollo de la película microbiana. El reactor purificador 1 comprende un espacio para expandir y retirar lodo 2, un sistema de inyección de gas 4, un sistema de inyección de fluidos 3, un filtro biológico que comprende un lecho compacto 5 de partículas retenidas en una parte inferior de dicho reactor mediante un techo de retención perforado 6 contra un movimiento ascendente, y un volumen de partículas móviles 10 ubicado dentro de dicho espacio para expandir y retirar el lodo 2. Las partículas móviles presentan una densidad superior a la de las partículas del lecho compacto. El método de purificación comprende, además, pasos periódicos de lavado a presión.
