Abstract
Proteína Cry1Fa radiomarcada, específica de cisteína, que retiene su actividad insecticida contra plagas de insectos y se une a los receptores de las vesículas de membrana con borde en cepillo de manera saturable. La proteína Cry1Fa radiomarcada, biológicamente activa es de utilidad en ensayos de unión competitiva con otras toxinas Cry.Reivindicación 4: Un método de ensayo de unión de tipo saturación para determinar la actividad de unión del núcleo de toxina Cry1Fa a los receptores sobre el intestino medio de una especie de insecto dado, que comprende: a) preparar una suspensión que contiene una concentración conocida de vesículas de membranas con borde en cepillo aisladas del intestino medio de las especies de insecto; b) agregar, en recipientes separados, cantidades crecientes de la Cry1Fa marcada de la reivindicación 3 a cantidades fijas de la suspensión de vesículas de membrana con borde en cepillo bajo condiciones de tiempo y de solución amortiguadora que permitan que la Cry1Fa marcada se una a los receptores sobre las vesículas de membranas con borde en cepillo; c) separar la Cry1Fa marcada no unida de la Cry1Fa marcada unida a los receptores sobre las vesículas de membranas con borde en cepillo; y d) contar toda señal radioactiva emitida por la Cry1Fa marcada unida a las vesículas de membranas con borde en cepillo.
