Abstract
La presente solicitud se encuentra en el campo del cultivo de plantas y de la resistencia a enfermedades. Más específicamente, la solicitud incluye un método para el cultivo de plantas de soja que contienen locus de rasgos cuantitativos asociados con la resistencia a la roya de soja asiática (ASR), una enfermedad fungica asociada con el género Phakopsora. La solicitud comprende además plasma germinal, y el uso del plasma germinal que contiene locus de rasgos cuantitativos (QTL) que confieren resistencia a enfermedades, para la introduccion en plasma germinal de elite en un programa de cultivo para la resistencia a ASR. Reivindicacion 1: Un método para la produccion de plantas de soja resistentes a ASR, que comprende: a) la realizacion de la seleccion asistida con marcadores, a fin de identificar una planta de soja que posea el locus 14 de resistencia a ASR, donde el locus 14 de resistencia a ASR se obtiene a partir de PI291309C; y b) la generacion de descendencias de dicha planta de soja, donde las descendencias que poseen dicho locus 14 de resistencia a ASR exhiben por lo menos resistencia parcial a ASR.
