Abstract
Un equipo de usuario (UE) en un sistema de comunicacion movil es operado en un modo que atenua o evita una condicion de sobrecarga en el UE. Esto involucra operar un receptor del UE para recibir uno o más bloques de datos vía un canal. En respuesta a una condicion de sobrecarga del equipo de usuario que se detecta, se informa un valor del indicador de calidad de canal (CQI) a una estacion base servidora, en donde el valor de CQI informado representa una calidad de canal que es menor que una calidad real del canal. El UE es entonces operado de un modo que es consistente con el valor de CQI informado. La condicion de sobrecarga de UE incluye el sobrecalentamiento y una imposibilidad para procesar bloques de datos recibidos a la velocidad a la cual están siendo recibidos.
