Abstract

Composiciones para uso oftálmico que comprende gemifloxacina, un componente polimérico y eventuales agentes buffer, isotonizantes y conservantes. Las composiciones muestran una elevada afinidad hacia compartimientos oculares específicos permitiendo efectuar, con un amplio margen de seguridad, una eficaz terapia antibiotica en los diversos sectores oculares. Se usa, por ejemplo, en el tratamiento o prevencion de enfermedades de la superficie ocular y/o del sector interno del ojo, en queratitis y otros.Compositions for ophthalmic use comprising gemifloxacin, a polymer component and eventual buffering agents, isotonizers and preservatives. The compositions show a high affinity towards specific ocular compartments allowing, with a wide safety margin, to carry out an effective antibiotic therapy in the various ocular sectors. It is used, for example, in the treatment or prevention of diseases of the ocular surface and / or the internal sector of the eye, in keratitis and others.
