Abstract
La presente solicitud se refiere a polímeros multiproposito que son el producto de polimerizacion de una mezcla de monomeros que comprende: al menos un monomero de metacrilato amino sustituido (ASMA) o sal del mismo; y al menos un monomero de vinilo noionico (NIV), en donde la mezcla de monomeros comprende además uno o más de al menos un monomero asociativo de vinilo (VA); al menos un monomero de agente tensoactivo vinílico (VS); y/o al menos un macromero de silicona polimerizable (PSM) y en donde la mezcla de monomeros comprende además opcionalmente uno o más de al menos un monomero de entrecruzamiento (XL); al menos un agente de transferencia de cadena (CTA); y/o al menos un estabilizador polimérico. Los polímeros multiproposito de la presente solicitud se pueden preparar también de mezclas de monomeros que contienen agentes de transferencia de cadena u otros componentes funcionales utilizados comunmente en procesos de polimerizacion. En una forma de realizacion, los polímeros multiproposito de la presente solicitud son hidrolíticamente estables durante largos períodos de tiempo (por ejemplo, períodos de tiempo superiores a seis meses o más), proveen sorprendentemente propiedades reologicas beneficiosas en composiciones acuosas acídicas, y son compatibles con materiales cationicos. Los polímeros multiproposito de la presente solicitud son utiles en una variedad de productos que incluyen, pero no están limitados a, productos para el cuidado personal, productos para la salud, productos para el hogar, productos para la atencion industrial e institucional, y aplicaciones industriales.
