Abstract

Composiciones y procesos para mejorar la clarificacion por carbonatacion de licores y jarabes de azucar. Los procesos mejorados comprenden el agregado de composiciones a un licor de azucar directamente en el tanque de retencion de licor carbonatado (luego de la carbonatacion a saturacion final), antes del tanque de retencion de licor carbonatado pero después de la carbonatacion a saturacion de etapa final, antes de la filtracion del licor carbonatado, o en cualquier etapa en el proceso de purificacion de azucar. Las composiciones provistas en ésta se mezclan íntimamente en los licores y jarabes de azucar, y se dejan tiempo suficiente para que reaccionen para impartir una mejora en el licor clarificado obtenido de ese modo. Las composiciones pueden incluir combinaciones de uno o más de un reactivo de azufre particulado, un reactivo de fosforo particulado, un reactivo de aluminio particulado, un reactivo de sílice, un reactivo carbonáceo particulado, un coadyuvante de filtracion particulado, un decolorante polimérico, y un reactivo de amonio particulado.
