Abstract

Se describe una composicion insecticida que comprende, por peso, en base al peso total de la composicion: (a) de aproximadamente 9 a aproximadamente 91% de uno o más insecticidas de diamida antranílica; y (b) de aproximadamente 9 a aproximadamente 91% de un componente de copolímero en bloque de oxido de etileno-oxido de propileno no ionico con una solubilidad en agua de al menos aproximadamente 5% por peso a 20°C, un valor de balance hidrofílico-lipofílico de al menos aproximadamente 5 y un peso molecular promedio en el intervalo de aproximadamente 1500 a aproximadamente 20000 daltons; en donde la relacion del componente (b) al componente (a) es aproximadamente 1:10 a aproximadamente 10:1 por peso. También se describe un propágulo geotropico que se reviste con una cantidad eficaz como insecticida de la composicion descrita anteriormente. Se describe, además, una composicion líquida que consiste de aproximadamente 5 a 80% en peso de la composicion descrita anteriormente y aproximadamente 20 a 95% en peso de un portador líquido acuoso volátil, y un método para proteger un propágulo geotropico y la planta que se deriva de éste contra una plaga de insectos fitofagos, el método comprende revestir el propágulo con una cantidad eficaz como insecticida de la composicion líquida descrita anteriormente y después evaporar el portador líquido acuoso volátil.
