Abstract

Una parte asociada a una licencia digital es identificada de una licencia digital ligada a un ID de usuario de un usuario. Esta licencia digital identifica un conjunto de derechos para un producto de software. Se hace una determinacion en cuanto a cuando una venta adicional asociada con la licencia de software es hecha, y una indicacion de que la parte es reconocida en asociacion con esta venta es generada. En adicion, un servicio de manejo de licencia puede determinar, independientemente de si el usuario está actualmente conectado al servicio en línea con el ID de usuario, cuándo la licencia digital debe ser renovada. La licencia digital es automáticamente renovada y automáticamente facturada (si es autorizado por el usuario), resultando en una nueva fecha de expiracion para la licencia digital. La licencia digital con la nueva fecha de expiracion es almacenada y posteriormente enviada a un dispositivo a través del cual el usuario inicia cesion al servicio en línea con el ID de usuario.
