Abstract
Método y aparato en una estacion de base para controlar conjuntamente la potencia de transmision de subcanales y los modos de codec asignados a una primera y una segunda estacion movil utilizando el sistema de servicios de voz por canal adaptativo de multiples usuarios en un solo intervalo (VAMOS). La estacion de base recibe los informes de calidad de senal de las estaciones moviles cada 480 ms usando el canal de control asociado lento (SACCH), y recibe las solicitudes de modo de codec de las estaciones moviles cada 40 ms usando la senalizacion dentro de la banda de compresion multi-tasa adaptativa (AMR). La estacion de base asocia los modos de codec solicitados con niveles estimados de calidad de habla actualmente experimentados por las estaciones moviles primera y segunda. La estacion de base después asigna la potencia de transmision de subcanales y asigna los modos de codec a las estaciones moviles primera y segunda en base a los niveles estimados de calidad de habla asociados con los modos de codec solicitados y los informes de calidad de senal.
